Non-Surgical Nose Job Options | VIDA
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty with Fillers
Would you like to improve the look of your nose without surgery? Thanks to medical advances and dermal fillers, it is now possible to have a non-surgical nose job.
You read that right: a nose job without surgery and everything it entails (anesthesia, recovery, discomfort, having to take time off, etc.)
We can confirm this is not an oxymoron, non-surgical nose jobs are a thing and they are a marvelous option for those looking for a small (but significant) improvement in their noses.
Also called a liquid nose job or rhinoplasty with fillers, this revolutionary procedure is minimally invasive and can help reshape your nose without anesthesia or downtime.
Through the injection of fillers in different areas of your nose, you can achieve a more refined or straight profile, elongate the nasal tip, and even out irregularities on the bridge of the nose.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty with Fillers FAQ
At VIDA, we are aware that nose jobs with fillers may be life-changing for some patients, but as a relatively new procedure, there’s not a lot of reliable information available.
For that reason, we crafted this simple FAQ to cover the nonsurgical rhinoplasty basics and tell you about the wonders of non-surgical rhinoplasty!

How Is a Nose Job with Fillers Performed?
A board-certified plastic surgeon will explain to you the different fillers available for the liquid nose job depending on your aesthetic goals. It’s important to check that the filler contains only hyaluronic acid, to be able to remove them with hyaluronidase in case of any complication, or if the patient didn’t like the results, or if they are planning on having nose surgery later.
This is injected into the skin with a very thin needle and the whole process usually takes 15 to 20 minutes. The exact spot where you receive the injections will depend on what you are trying to achieve.
Do Nose Fillers Hurt?
While filler injections are not painful, rather just uncomfortable, no anesthesia is required but patients will have a topical anesthetic numbing cream applied to make the whole experience completely painless.
One of the greatest advantages of rhinoplasty without surgery is that once injections are over, you will see immediate results. Some patients might see minimal swelling and redness that subsides within days.
Who Is a Candidate for a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
As great as having a non-surgical rhinoplasty is, you should know that the procedure has some limits. Good candidates for nonsurgical rhinoplasty usually will be looking to fix the following:
- Raise the nasal bridge
- Decrease a dorsal hump when you look at your profile
- Straightening the nose
- Add volume to the nasal tip and make it look more refined
Patients who want to shorten or decrease the size of their nose or nostrils are not nonsurgical rhinoplasty candidates and would do much better with a traditional rhinoplasty.
How long does a nonsurgical nose job last compared to a traditional rhinoplasty?
Nonsurgical rhinoplasty results last an average of 12 months, depending on how your body reacts to fillers and the actual type of filler used.
This is both a good and a bad thing: while yes, you will need a second nonsurgical rhinoplasty session with your surgeon if you want to maintain the results, you don’t have to worry about being unhappy with it. That’s why a lot of people use this procedure as a “test drive” and get a surgical nose job after.
How much is a nonsurgical rhinoplasty?
The price for a nonsurgical nose job is also different from traditional rhinoplasty because it is not charged only by the number of dermal filler syringes used, it is charged by the procedure because not all doctors know how to correct nose problems, and sometimes there are complications.
In fact, it is one of the places where there are more complications from the use of dermal fillers because there is a risk of blindness, loss of skin, etc.
The cost is higher because you need to be well-trained to avoid these complications, which is why the cost of nose jobs varies by patient. Not all patients are candidates, so it will be necessary for the doctor to evaluate the patient and tell him or her how many sessions of dermal fillers are needed. The average cost is $550 dollars.
How do I prepare for a nonsurgical nose job?
Since this is a non-invasive procedure you don’t need any special preparations beforehand. The procedure will take place at the doctor’s office and you just need to make sure you relax and have enough time for your appointment.
Is there downtime after a nonsurgical rhinoplasty?
No. Unlike traditional rhinoplasty surgery where patients can expect swelling and bruise for 1 to 2 weeks, the non-surgical cosmetic procedure delivers immediate or almost immediate results with injectable fillers.
Some nonsurgical rhinoplasty patients may see minor bruising, swelling, or redness but it’s minimal and subsides within days.
An experienced plastic surgeon will be trained in the best techniques to apply the dermal filler and as such, decrease your chances of swelling or redness.
