Detecting and Treating Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Melanoma

The three most common types of skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. The first two types are typically curable, but early detection is best to avoid costly treatments for later-stage carcinomas. Melanomas are more aggressive and can lead to death. However, melanomas that are detected early on are also usually curable.
