Juliet Laser vs MonaLisa Touch
Vaginal tightening, also known as vaginoplasty and vaginal rejuvenation, is a simple and effective cosmetic procedure that is used to tighten up your vagina. As we get older, our vaginas can become loose or slack. This is something that we’re sure a lot of moms can relate to as well, as this also happens due to childbirth.
The many benefits of vaginal tightening treatment
With vaginal rejuvenation treatments, the internal muscles, as well as the external skin and tissue, will be tightened. This can help you to feel more confident while ensuring you get greater sexual pleasure too.
This is an excellent treatment and there are many benefits associated with it. This includes the following:
- You can feel more confidence
- Improve current medical conditions, such as urinary incontinence
- Enhance your own sexual gratification and your partner’s experience
- See an improvement to the appearance of the overall treatment area
- Restore tightness to your vaginal area
- Tailored to suit your needs
Your options when getting vaginal rejuvenation
It is not hard to see why this is a treatment that so many women are turning to. However, if you are interested in vaginal rejuvenation, you may be feeling at a bit of a loss regarding what treatment to go for. This is because there are many different options available.
You may assume that the only way to have vaginal tightening treatment is to go under-the-knife, but this is not the case. Laser treatment is the most popular way to have vaginal rejuvenation.
Two of the main lasers available for this treatment are the Juliet Laser and MonaLisa Touch. You may be wondering which one of these lasers is going to be right for you. Below, we will tell you more about both options so that you can get a better understanding.
Juliet Laser vs MonaLisa Touch
Both lasers have an exceptional reputation in the industry, but there are differences between the pair of them, which we will explain in full.
MonaLisa Touch
We’ll first start by looking at the MonaLisa Touch. This is an innovative and gentle laser treatment that has been specially designed for external or internal vaginal soreness and dryness.
It is a very gentle, quick, and non-surgical approach, which will help you to get back to enjoying intimate relationships and feeling confident, especially after the menopause.
Who is the MonaLisa Touch laser suitable for?
This treatment is ideal for perimenopausal and menopausal females, as well as women who have undergone some type of cancer treatment and are suffering from a lack of estrogen. This can result in vaginal tissue thinning, known as vaginal atrophy, as well as dryness.
If any of the following applies to you, the MonaLisa Touch treatment could be just what you need:
- You have had hormonal treatment following breast cancer
- You have had pelvic radiation therapy or chemotherapy for cancer
- You have tried Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) but you found that it does not help to resolve your vaginal dryness
- You are post-menopausal and you would rather not take HRT
- You have tried other treatments and they do not seem to be working.
What should you expect during the MonaLisa treatment?
You may feel worried about having a treatment on this part of your body, but we can assure you that there is nothing to fret about. All of our specialists have many years of experience and they will make sure that you feel at ease.
When you are undergoing the treatment, it is very gentle and you will not feel any pain. A small probe will be placed into your vagina carefully. This probe will deliver low-power energy from the laser to the tissues of your vaginal wall. This has the purpose of stimulating collagen production, as well as the production of new blood vessels. It will also restore the correct balance to the mucous membrane.
You won’t need to book any time off work with this treatment, and there is no downtime and the treatment itself does not take long at all. In fact, it only lasts a few minutes, so you can certainly go home the same day!
Recovering from MonaLisa treatment
You will be pleased to know that the recovery period is small and there’s nothing to worry about. It is natural to feel a little bit of discomfort in the few days after your treatment. Nevertheless, after a day or so has passed, you should have no trouble getting back into your typical routine.
Juliet Laser
The other option available to you is the Juliet Laser. This laser can be used to treat a wide range of symptoms and conditions. Like the MonaLisa, it is a very quick and gentle procedure, with no surgery involved.
This state-of-the-art laser can be used to assist with urogynecological symptoms of menopause, atrophy, vaginal laxity, and stress urinary incontinence. If you are unsure whether or not this is the right laser for your needs, the best thing to do is get in touch with us to book a consultation and we will be able to advise on the best laser for your specific needs.
What does Juliet Laser treat?
There are a number of different conditions that the Juliet Laser treatment can assist with. This includes all of the following:
- Lichen Sclerosis
- Enlarged vagina; vaginal laxity and vulvovaginal atrophy
- Vaginal burning, itching, and dryness
- Leakage and stress urinary incontinence
- Loss of tone and elasticity
- Dyspareunia – Pain during intercourse
- GSM – Genitourinary syndrome of menopause
- The general aging of the vagina
The results of the Juliet Laser and how long they last
For a lot of our patients, they have said that this treatment has truly changed their life, which is a wonderful thing. This treatment can help to significantly improve stress urinary incontinence and sometimes it can completely cure it. Treatment can also result in the labia tissue and vagina tightening, as well as an increase in natural lubrication and vaginal moisture, fewer disease symptoms, improved tissue health, a reduction in pain during intercourse, and more enjoyable tissue sensitivity.
In terms of how long the results last, this differs considerably depending on your specific health condition and the issues you are experiencing. Some people will experience permanent benefits, whereas others experience benefits that last for years, so they have some follow-up treatments. It is definitely worthwhile having some follow-up treatments so that you can avoid further aging problems and keep your tissue optimally healthy. When you have a consultation at our clinic, we will make sure that you have realistic expectations for the treatment based on the condition you are experiencing.
Juliet Laser treatment downtime
Just like the MonaLisa laser, there is not a lot of downtime with the Juliet Laser treatment either. A lot of patients come to us during their work break, and they can get straight back to their normal activities afterward. If you are one of the many patients that have traveled to Mexico from the US, we would advise that you avoid swimming, bathing, or sauna use for a few days after the treatment.
You should not experience any pain after having this treatment. However, it is normal to feel a bit of discomfort. Often, this can feel very much like light cramping. This is because the tissue has been ablated and so the healing phase is underway, which can cause a little bit of inflammation. Nevertheless, the symptoms of this are very minor and you should be able to go about your typical daily life without any concern. We do advise that you refrain from sexual intercourse for three days after the procedure to allow your vagina time to heal.
Which laser is the right one for you?
As you can see, both lasers – the MonaLisa and Juliet Laser – have great benefits associated with them, offering treatment that is quick, effective, and painless. However, you may be unsure regarding which laser is going to be the best for you.
It is not a case of one laser is better than the other; rather, it is about making sure that you select a laser that is right for you and your needs. This is something that we can assist with.
During your consultation, you can explain to us the different problems that you are experiencing and what you hope to achieve from the treatment. We will then be able to recommend the right laser to you based on this. Armed with all of the correct decisions, you can then decide on whether you would like to proceed with our recommendations or not.
